How is membership balanced?*This RAC is composed of 15 members, representing 3 categories: commodity, non-commodity, and local area interest. Each category has 5 members.
How frequent & relevant are cmte mtgs?*The Idaho RAC was established during FY 2020 through a merger of the previous 4 RACs located within the State of Idaho. The committee did not meet in FY 2020 though it will generally meet 2-4 times per year.
Why advice can't be obtained elsewhere?*The purpose of the RAC is to enable citizens of Idaho to have a meaningful say in how public lands are managed for multiple use. The RAC provides advice on a broad array of resource, economic and social issues that confront land managers and local communities. The local stakeholders provide important perspective on how public lands can be best managed for the benefit of the American people.
Why close or partially close meetings? All meetings will be open to the public.
Recommendation RemarksThis Council consolidates the Boise (2055), Coeur d’Alene (2056), Idaho Falls (2057), and Twin Falls (25121) District RACs into a single Idaho Resource Advisory Council (84604) effective September 23, 2020.
